  • It's been a while since I updated... let's see. I've been to a few restaurants with family (China Sea with my mom and brother, and Red Lobster with my uncle, mom, and grandmother). Both were pretty nice. I went to see Red Eye with Josh, not bad for a summer movie Oh, and we went to Don Pedro's (mexican restaurant) after that. Really good food, I could barely finish my plate (2 enchiladas with chili, 2 puffy tacos, rice, beans, tortillas, etc.)

Lots of washing of clothes, packing to move up to A&M, etc. Plus we replaced our dryer at home because the old one died, so there were a few trips to the laundromat too, heh.

But anyway, here come the random pics/ stories
    - me with somewhat shorter hair

    - Josh and his bro/ sis at his going away party on the 27th. It was his family (extended), me and Matt, Colleen (church friend), Eric, Julie and Diana, one of Josh's older friends, and possibly other people I am forgetting (it started with just me and kept growing, lol). He left yesterday (September 29th) for his mission. He is going to be serving in New York, New York for two years. Hopefully he has fun and fares better than some of the other missionaries he mentioned that served up there

    - me and Josh, also at that party

    - I moved up to A&M on the 28th, the day after Josh's party thing. This is everything once I brought it in, before unpacking.

    - After unpacking, for the most part cleaner If you can't tell what that glowing thing is by my computer tower, it's this lighted rotating Simpsons lamp thing my mom gave me.

Alright, that's mostly it. Here's my fall schedule for anyone that's interested.
Oh, and I took more pics than I am showing here at the party and such, of course, the complete collection is in my gallery.

  • Alright, came back from my trip Wednesday... it was a lot of fun.
My gallery is now updated with like 650+ pics of it... check it out and leave comments . There's also a "Highlights" sub-album if you don't want to go thru all 650.

Here's a description of what we did:
    Illinois/ Indiana/ Michigan Trip (August 05).

Wed/ Day 1: Flying, visited Graceland during our layover in Memphis TN, landed at the Detroit airport, and went to my Uncle Jim's house in Bristol IN.

Thurs/ Day 2: Chilled around my uncle's house, ate, went fishing, etc etc

Fri/ Day 3: Day trip to Chicago: went up in the Sears Tower (observation deck), ate at some Chinese restaurant, visited the Field Museum, then just looked around at a few more things in the evening (Buckingham Fountain I think it's called).

Sat/ Day 4: Michigan Adventure theme park, home of the Shivering Timbers wooden roller coaster (which was a lot of fun) and such, then went to see my uncle Doug and his wife Eve perform with their band at some club. Then, back to my Uncle Jim's.

Sun/ Day 5: Walked around Frankenmuth, a little "Bavarian" town with lots of nice shops, cheese houses and such... there's also this huge Christmas store there but it was closed when we got there so we had to go back (see Day 7). Then we went up to camp, which is in Black River MI, by Alpena MI where my mom was born. Basically a small house in the middle of a 220 acre forested lot. The water went out the first day... it was interesting.

Mon/ Day 6: Went around camp (I took a tractor ride =o), then visited Mackinaw Island and crossed the Mackinaw Bridge, then back to camp, when the water was working again.

Tues/ Day 7: We woke up late, packed up and left camp, then visited Frankenmuth again to stop by Bronner's, that huge Christmas store I already mentioned. Then, we went to stay with Doug and Eve because it was closer to Detroit (and that airport). We ate at a local place around there, The Rustic, tons of dead animals on the walls but good food and pretty large portions.

Wed/ Day 8: Woke up early to take the trip to Detroit and catch the flight back to San Antonio.

That'll also show up on each subalbum, telling what we did that day.
That's about it... school starts August 29th, might move up like 2 days before, or maybe the week before (i.e. around the 21st). Josh is leaving for his 2yr mission at the end of August and has a going away party on the 27th, so I might move in and then come back down or something.

That's all for now, be sure to leave more comments than you did while I was gone

  • It's always late when I think to update, heh. So today I woke up with pain by my lower back (pretty strong pain), and such... then vomiting... so I went to the doctor's and I have a kidney infection or something. So I got a shot of antibiotics and more to take for 2 weeks. Good times.

But I'm mostly feeling better now, so I think I'm still leaving for our trip tomorrow (Indiana/ Illinois/ Michigan/ etc.) so that should be fun. Right now I'm just packing a few things and about to go to sleep. So, I'll be gone from Aug 3rd thru the 10th, so if you want to contact me just call my cell (8620767). I might check my email occasionally up there too thru my PDA/phone.

    Alright, bb in a week

Edit: Also, the LAN at Ben's was a lot of fun. I updated my Gallery with pics from it, and also got a new version of Gallery. My gallery has moved to this site. That also means that if you have any hard links to my photos in your Xanga or something (I think Eric might), those links are no longer valid

  • So I should really update... there's a LAN this Friday at Ben's ... As far as I know we're still leaving August 3rd (less than week) to go on our trip to Chicago/Indiana/etc. My grandmother is home from the hospital now, and she's doing better. As it turns out, while my mom was with my grandmother at an appt for my grandmother, the doctor thought she looked pale and wanted a blood test... so fast forward a week, she's gotten 6 units of blood transfused (half of what a person has, actually), and a hysterectonmy, but she's home now, but kinda limited to bedrest. So she can't go on the trip. Hm... that's mostly it, got a new credit card and such, can't think of much else

Oh, because of the aforementioned thing with my mom, my Six Flags trip with Josh to Arlington didn't happen... so we just went to 6 Flags Fiesta Texas for a day instead. It was pretty fun, we rode almost everything, before we left at 4 to escape the approaching rain I think Josh got some interesting pics so convince him with me to get a PhotoCD when he develops it ::nods::

    Alright that's all

  • Hmm... I guess I should update.
LAN Party at Bobby's this Saturday, probably (click for info)
I got a letter a few days ago...I've been selected for jury duty =( So I'll probably be doing that most of the day Friday (this week).... have to be downtown at 8am, when I normally wake up at 3pm, should be interesting

So Josh wants to take a random road trip to Arlington (by Dallas, like a 5 hour drive lol) to go to Six Flags Over Texas... so if you're bored and are interested, IM me or him

That's about it... my grandmother was in the hospital recently but she's doing better, she's in a rehabilitation clinic now but I think she should be released this week. But anyway, that resulted in my trip to Michigan/Illinois/etc to be delayed. Now it sounds like we're going to go August 3rd through the 10th, if you're curious. I'll be sure to take pictures In fact I just bought a larger memory card for my digital camera today.

So that's it, just IM me if you have a question or anything
